Upset Picks
North Dakota St. over Iowa St.- The Bison are one of the top teams in the FCS. The Cyclones might be the worst BCS team. Recipe for an upset.
Boise St. over Oregon- This isn't really an upset based on the teams. But anytime you can pick a WAC team to beat a PAC-10 team, it's gotta count for at least a mild upset.
Louisiana Tech over Auburn- I've already made this prediction in a previous post. The Bulldogs are a dark horse WAC title contender. I can see them walking off the plains with a W.
UTEP over Buffalo- This is another not so big upset, but it's week 1.

ISU walked over NDSU last night, but you might want to pick the Cyclones for an upset special next week vs. rival Iowa.
Reasons: Cyclones have switched to a no-huddle spread under new coach Rhoads, which gives the Hawks problems - Cyclones are at home and have beaten Iowa much more often than not at home, starting with the Dan McCarney era - Iowa's running attack could be hurt by the loss of Jewell Hampton - Rhoads, a McCarney disciple, takes the Iowa game FAR more seriously than Chizik ever did, and even Chizik was 1-1 against Ferentz. - Iowa always gets a slow start to the season.
Reasons why it isn't a good pick: Iowa State is going to be pretty bad still - Iowa's defense is good - ISU's defense is tiny and awful.
