Way too early bowl predictions

I love to make predictions, and I'd like to think I'm pretty good at it. Like 10 years from now I predict I will still be more awesome than you, the Gators will be getting ready for their tenth straight national title and America will finally win the war in Iraq.

I am pretty sure I have a better chance of having all those predictions coming true compared to picking at least half of this year's bowl games correctly. Despite this fact, I am going to try anyway. Prepare to have your faces rocked off by the awesomeness of my predictions.

1.BCS Title Game- Florida v. Oklahoma; I know this is a homer pick, but it will come down between Florida and Georgia to represent the SEC in the title game. I'll take Florida to win that one as well as this game.

2. Fiesta Bowl- Texas v. BYU; BYU will be the mid-major darlings this year and will put up a better fight than Hawaii did last year. However, the Longhorns will prevail.

3.Sugar Bowl- Georgia v. Illinois; Both teams return to BCS games and Georgia wins their second straight Sugar Bowl.

4.Rose Bowl- Ohio St. v. USC- A rematch of the regular season match-up will result in another USC victory.

5. Orange Bowl- Clemson v. West Virginia; Tommy Bowden finally gets the results that are expected from this Clemson team and they beat West Virginia narrowly.

6. Capital One Bowl- Wisconsin v. LSU- The defending national champs fall to a tough Big Ten team.

7. Outback Bowl- Michigan St. v. Auburn- Auburn takes down the Spartans behind Kodi Burns.

8. Cotton Bowl- Missouri v. Alabama; Chase Daniel and the Tigers prove to be too much for the Fighting Nick Sabans.

9. Gator Bowl- Wake Forest v. Cincinnati- Two of the up-and-coming teams in the nation. The Bearcats take this one.

10.Sun Bowl- Oregon St. v. Texas A&M; Oregon St. ruins Mike Sherman's first bowl game.

11.Holiday Bowl- Arizona St. v. Texas Tech; This would be a pretty exciting game to watch. I'll take Tech to win a wild one.

12. Chick-Fil-A Bowl- Virginia Tech v. South Carolina; Steve Spurrier returns to a bowl game and upsets the Hokies.

13.Liberty Bowl- Central Florida v. Tennessee; UCF makes it's second straight appearance in Memphis and this team walk away with a win.

14.Alamo Bowl- Kansas v. Purdue; Kansas slips a little bit this season but still walks away with a bowl win.

15.Insight Bowl- Colorado v. Indiana; This bowl has become one of the most exciting to watch year in and year out. This year will be another exciting contest as the Buffs take down the Hoosiers in a thrilling game.

16.Music City Bowl- Miami(FL) V. Mississippi St.; The canes make it back to a bowl game and come away with a lopsided win.

17.Independence Bowl- Oklahoma St. v. Arkansas; Bobby Petrino is sleazy, but he takes a break from sucking at life to lead the Hogs to a victory over OK ST.

18.Champs Sports Bowl- North Carolina St. v. Penn St; Tom O'Brien will have the Wolfpack back in a bowl game this season, and they will beat the JoPa's.

19.Meineke Car Care Bowl- North Carolina v. South Florida; Butch Davis is back in a bowl game, but UNC falls to Matt Grothe and the Bulls.

20.Papajohns.com Bowl- Rutgers v. Kentucky; How is this game not played at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium? Rutgers wins.

21.Texas Bowl- Nebraska v. Tusla; Bo Pelini gets a bowl win in his first season.

22.Humanitarian Bowl- Virginia v. Boise St.; The Broncos will enjoy a ridiculous home field advantage, and they will win this tougher than expected game.

23.Emerald Bowl- Maryland v. UCLA; Two teams heading into the season without a clear starter at QB. I'll take Maryland with Josh Portis at QB to win this one.

24.Las Vegas Bowl- Utah v. California; California has a more respectable season from last year's meltdown. They win a close one in sin city.

25. Hawaii Bowl- Fresno St. v. Arizona; The Bulldogs take care of Arizona. Now Mike Stoops will know exactly how his brother feels every year.

26.GMAC Bowl- East Carolina v. Nevada; Skip Holtz enters the off-season as the hottest up and coming coach after beating the Wolfpack.

27.St. Petersburg Bowl- Pittsburgh v. Houston; Dave Wannstedt finally gets Pitt back to a bowl game and they win the inaugural St. Pete Bowl.

28.Armed Forces Bowl- Memphis v. Air Force; Memphis will surprise a few people this year, including Air Force in this game.

29.Congressional Bowl- Navy v. Georgia Tech; Paul Johnson leads his new team against his old one, and the old one wins.

30.International Bowl- Louisville v. Ball St.; A battle between two teams with almost the exact same uniforms. Ball St. gets the upset behind underrated QB Nate Davis.

31.Motor City Bowl- Michigan v. Central Michigan; the battle for Michigan in Michigan. Central Michigan pulls off the upset.

32.New Orleans Bowl- Louisiana-Monroe v. Southern Mississippi; ULM finally unseats Troy from the Sun Belt throne, but they lose to Larry Fedora's Southern Miss squad.

33.Poinsettia Bowl- Washington v. Buffalo; The battle between two of my favorite coaches in Tyrone Willingham and Turner Gill. Ty Willingham wins this round.

34.New Mexico Bowl- Louisiana Tech v. Florida Atlantic; One of the worst bowl games ever, but FAU represents for the Sunshine State.

OUCH, a little biased indeed. Not that I'm a Big 10 guy, btw. I'm not doing bowl predictions, but I do have a new Top 10 blog up. Check it out!
