H.C.I.C. (Head Coaches In Charge)

College sports often revolve around the coaches more so than professional sports. This is even truer in the college football ranks. Every successful program starts with the head coach. Often times, fans of a program will look back with fond memories of a previous head coach before recalling a player.

It's not all fun and games for coaches either. It's the coaches that take the heat when programs falter and things don't go as planned. Just this season alone there were 18 head coaching changes.

These are my top 25 head coaches in the nation. For the most part, these coaches are all recognized as being the best in the business.

  1. Pete Carroll USC
  2. Urban Meyer Florida

I was pleasantly surprised to see that Charlesterol Weis was left off the list...

Also, thanks for giving some deserving props to Mike Riley at #15.

I personally believe Charlie Weis is a fraud. I hope he runs Notre Dame completely into the ground before they get rid of him.

Mike Riley is a very underrated coach. Most people don't realize that the Beavers are one of the more consistent programs in the nation.
