Ray Ray says Bye Bye to Clemson

One of the all-time feel good stories in college football just added another twist. Clemson RB Ray Ray McElrathbey has announced that he is transferring to Howard University.

Ray Ray became the media darling of CFB when a story appeared on how McElrathbey cared for his younger brother. You may recall, Ray Ray lived in family housing at Clemson and cared for his younger brother like a father. All the while putting in work necessary to play football at the D-1 level.

Last March, Clemson announced that McElrathbey would not play for the football team this season. The athletic department did offer Ray Ray a position as a graduate assistant with the team.

McElrathbey chose Howard for it's academics, according to his mother. And of course, Ray Ray will be bringing along his 13 year old brother with him. Moving to D.C. from Clemson will take a major adjustment for the two.

I say good luck to McElrathbey and his little brother. I hope they are both successful in whatever they chose to pursue in life. If you have a child in need of a role model, perhaps you should point him in McElrathbey's direction.
