Airing it out: Top 25 QB's in all the land

Since I'm always right about everything, it should come as no shock at the end of the year when you look back at this list and realize every single QB is ranked correctly.Phil Steele wishes he had my keen college football intellect.

Since I love talking college football and you love reading it, I'm going to try and produce a top 25 for every position. Since this is very time consuming and I actually have a life, this will be very difficult to accomplish. Nevertheless, I will begin with the poster boys of any team, the quarterbacks.

1.Tim Tebow-The returning Heisman trophy winner will once again be the favorite to take home the hardware. While another 20/20 season is unlikely, he should once again produce monster numbers.

2.Chase Daniel- The Missouri QB should once again be in contention for the Heisman trophy this season. If Daniel plays to his potential, he is an absolute game-breaker.

3.Pat White- A lot of people are down on the West Virginia QB this year. I don't really see White having a drop-off this season. White, along with Noel Devine form one of the better rushing attacks in the country.

4.Sam Bradford- Bradford exploded onto the scene last season while leading the Sooners to yet another BCS bowl berth. If Bradford can produce the same type of numbers this year against defenses designed to stop him, he should be in Heisman discussions.

5.Graham Harrell-If Harrell were putting up his numbers anywhere else in the nation he would be a consensus number 1 QB. The fact that my 7th grade chemistry teacher can step in at Texas Tech and have a good season sort of diminishes Harrell's accomplishments.

6.Rudy Carpenter-Dennis Erickson has brought out the best of Carpenter at Arizona St. I look for Rudy to have an even better year than last season. Although that would be rather difficult against a much tougher schedule.

7.Matthew Stafford-Although I hate Matthew Stafford and the Georgia Bulldogs, I believe Stafford is a top ten talent QB. The Bulldogs should start the season at number one, and Stafford will have to play his best to ensure they remain there.

8.Juice Williams- The Illini are looking to capitalize on last season's Rose Bowl appearance. Juice Williams to Arrelious Benn is one of the most dangerous pass-catch combos in the country.

9.Kellen Lewis-I might be stretching just a bit by putting Lewis in the top ten, but I feel the Hoosiers are going to be much improved this season and that all starts with Lewis. Kellen Lewis has been the best QB at Indiana since the Antwan Randle El days.

10.Dan LeFevour- If not for Tim Tebow, Central Michigan's Dan LeFevour would be the top dual threat QB din the nation. The Chippewas don't get too much pub. However, with a superstar like LeFevour leading the way that can all change.

11.Colt McCoy- The Texas QB fell on somewhat hard times last season. I look for McCoy to turn things around and have a great season in Austin.

12.Nate Davis- Davis is easily the most underrated QB in the nation. Playing at Ball St. will do that to you. There are numerous opportunities to catch this kid in action as the Cardinals are featured on several ESPN telecasts.

13.Mark Sanchez-I'm still not completely sold on Sanchez at USC. It seems like with recent successes, just being a Trojan QB puts you in the conversation for top QB.

14.Cullen Harper-Harper had a breakout season last year for Clemson. I look for him to build on those successes and finally lead the Tigers to a BCS bowl berth.

15.Todd Boeckman-Boeckman really surprised me last season. I remember talking so much trash to my Ohio St. friends because I thought Boeckman was garbage. I'm not making that mistake this season.

16.Matt Grothe-I always tell my USF friends that Grothe is a poor man's Tebow. They often get upset and start bashing Tebow. What they don't realize is that's compliment. Not too many QB's are tough enough to play like Tebow, and Grothe is one of them.

17.Dustin Grutza- Cincinnati should have no drop-off at the QB position after the departure of Ben Mauck. Grutza played a terrific spring game for the Bearcats.

18.Jake Locker-Locker may be the biggest QB in college football. Ty Willingham ran too much of the offense through Locker last season, resulting in an injury. If the Huskies can find a decent ground game, I can see Locker being the breakout star of this Fall.

19.Max Hall-I'm always skeptical of anyone named Max, but this BYU QB has changed my tone. I really like the way Hall plays, and he should lead the Cougars to an undefeated season.

20.Todd Reesing-The diminutive Reesing and Kansas Jayhawks were the darlings of college football last season. With much of the offense back, I expect Reesing to put up similar numbers once again this season.

21.Curtis Painter- It seems like Painter has been at Purdue for 8 years now. It's always good to have that feeling about your quarterback. More than any other position, experience is a key in determining a great QB.

22.Zac Robinson- Robinson was the inadvertent cause of Mike Gundy's tirade last season. It's unfortunate that his great performance was overlooked because of his coach's speech. Robinson will need a stellar season if he wants to emerge from Sam Bradford's shadow in the state of Oklahoma.

23.Rusty Smith-Rusty doesn't get too much love while playing down at Florida Atlantic. Living in the state I have had the opportunity to see him play a few times and trust me, he is the real deal.

24.Chase Holbrook-Holbrook has thrived under Hal Mumme's tutelage at New Mexico State. His numbers did take a slight dip last season, but he should bounce back just nicely this fall.

25.Riley Skinner-Wake Forest's momentum does not appear to be slowing down any time soon. I expect another big season from the Demon Deacons this season. It all starts with the talented Skinner at QB.

S.O.S. = SEC is Officially the Shit.

I came across a recent ranking of the ten most difficult schedules this coming season. The rankings were determined by the opponent's winning percentage.

Here were the results:

1.Georgia
2.Florida
3.Arkansas
4.UCLA
5.Alabama
6.Auburn
7.Ohio St.
8.Kentucky
9.Colorado
10.Baylor

Is is any surprise that 6 of the top 10 teams with the toughest schedule reside in the SEC. I hate when people say the SEC gets off by playing weak out of conference teams at home. My response: So what? We deserve the break from the rigorous in-conference schedule.

If SEC teams were in the Big Eleven, where we would have the luxury of playing Northwestern, Minnesota, Michigan St. or Iowa on any given week, then we would go out and find tougher out of conference teams to schedule. Instead we're stuck with the likes of LSU, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee or Alabama on any given week.

The SEC is the toughest conference by far. I couldn't care less if they just played their 8 conference games and said to hell with the rest of the schedule.

Showing some love to the stadiums.

One thing that sets college football apart from it's pro counterparts is the atmosphere during a game. The band playing, the student sections standing and yelling and the Alumni cheering their Alma mater on all make college football special. The stadiums of college football are very diverse and contribute greatly to the atmosphere at these game. While there are little or no luxury boxes or state of the art sound systems, I'll take a college stadium over an NFL stadium any day of the week.

I want to provide a list of my personal 10 favorite stadiums. Of course there is biased involved as I have been to some of the stadiums, so I have better first-hand knowledge of them. If I leave your favorite stadium out, then you should probably pick a new team to root for.

1. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, University of Florida.- Of course the Swamp would be my favorite stadium. This is a homer pick and I'm proud of it. The intensity during a Gators game is unmatched anywhere else in the nation. That's why Florida Field is consistently ranked as the toughest place to play in the nation. Also, if you sit high enough, you get an awesome view of the most beautiful campus in the history of the universe.

2. Michigan Stadium, University of Michigan.- I'm not a big fan of Wolverine football, but I love the Big House. Michigan Stadium is an awe-aspiring site. While I've never been there on game day, I can just imagine seeing all that maze and blue filling the stadium up. Of course knowing Michigan fans, I would probably get sick to my stomach and start dishing out groin kicks to everyone in sight.

3. Franklin Field, Penn University.- Franklin Field is home to the Quakers of Penn University. This is one of the most historic stadiums in all the nation. The stadium is also well known as the site of Bruce Willis' security detail in the ultimate blockbuster Unbreakable. The exterior of Franklin Field is what makes the stadium so grand. The brick-laden structure is a must on any Philly tour.

4.Williams Brice Stadium, University of South Carolina.- Williams Brice Stadium does not get the recognition that it deserves. This is probably caused by the lack of high performance from the football team. Despite the recent ineptness of the Gamecoks, their faithful still show up in droves and make Williams Brice a great place to watch a football game.

5. Beaver Stadium, Penn State University.- Happy Valley isn't such a happy place for visiting teams and their fans. The student section decked out in all white turns Beaver Stadium into an intimidating atmosphere even for the best players. The stadium design is also top-notch, considering the boring Nittany Lions uniforms.

6. Autzen Stadium, University of Oregon.- Autzen Stadium may be the best designed stadium in the nation. The fact that the football team disgraces such a beautiful stadium like this with those hideous uniforms is a travesty to mankind and should not be allowed.

7. Camp Randall Stadium, University of Wisconsin.- Wisconsin-Madison is known as a big-time party university. This partying atmosphere is carried well into Camp Randall for every home game. I've never been to a Wisconsin game personally, but just watching the game from home, I can get a sense of the exciting atmosphere. It's no wonder why it's so difficult to knock off the Badgers at home.

8. Neyland Stadium ,University of Tennessee.- I hate Tennessee. I hate the football team, I hate the state, I hate Rocky Top, I hate their stupid dog and I hate Phil Fulmer. One thing I don't hate about Tennessee is Neyland Stadium. This stadium is a monster, and some of the greatest games I've ever witnessed have taken place here.

9. Doak Campbell Stadium, Florida St. University.- Growing up with a strong hatred for everything FSU, I always pictured Doak Campbell Stadium as being the epicenter of a white trash trailer park with garbage piling up everywhere. I was surprised when I went to Doak in person by how nice the stadium actually is. A nice bronze statue welcomes visitors on all sides of the field. Except for the extremely gay Teamwork statue, they are all nicely done. By the way, I still think the campus is a big garbage hole.

10. Husky Stadium, University of Washington.- While the atmosphere in Seattle leaves something to be desired, the stadium itself is a thing of beauty. The scenery with the open-ended structure just might be the best in all of college football. It's no wonder the Huskies used to draw the top talent to the Great Northwest.

Will a real tailback please stand up!

For some time now, the Florida Gators have had one of the better offenses in the nation. Steve Spurrier was an offensive guru that revolutionized the way college football is played. Even during the dark ages under Ron Zook, the Gators still sported a rather potent offense. Now, under the direction of Urban Meyer, Florida is once again at the top of college football offenses.

Despite the offensive brilliance in Gainesville, there has always been a question mark at the running back position. With the notable exceptions of Fred Taylor and Earnest Graham, the Gators have not had a consistent ground game. There was the one year of serviceable Robert Gillespie, as well as the one year of Ciatrick Fason (who had potential to be the greatest of Florida's backs.) But a list that includes Ran Carthon, Elijah Williams, Deshawn Wynn, Terry Jackson and Kestahn Moore as starters, there is plenty of room for improvement.

This year the Gators have 5 potential starters at tailback after Spring. While this could be seen as a good thing, it's kind of disturbing that not one of these five players have clearly risen above the rest.

I'm going to break down the five in the order I believe they should play on the depth chart.

1.The Speedster.- Chris Rainey needs to be starting for UF this fall. The best place for him to start will be tailback. If you watched any of UF's Spring game then you know how special this guy can be. The move he put on Ahmad Black to stroll into the end-zone was unbelievable. Chris Rainey and Percy Harvin as the two options with Tebow would vault UF to the top running offense in the history of college football.

2. The New Star.- You would not believe how excited I was to learn that Emmanuel Moody had decided to transfer from USC to Florida. Conversely, I was just as disappointed to learn that Moody was struggling with UF's offense even after a year to sit and learn under it. Moody did flash some signs of life at the Spring game. Despite his fumble in the end zone, Moody was the most pleasant surprise of the afternoon. To watch his speed and elusiveness to get out of the backfield and then his power to run over tacklers in the open field mad me as giddy as a school girl.

3.The Embattled One.- I always thought Mon Williams would eventually become a starter and a star for the Gators. Unfortunately injuries have slowed him down. Williams would have been a perfect lightning to Deshawn Wynn or Kestahn Moore's thunder. Now that he's fully healthy he has a speedier Chris Rainey and a back with almost an identical but better running style in Emmanuel Moody. Although he won't start, Williams should see plenty more playing time this Fall.

4. The Incumbent.- No Gator player has ever frustrated me as much as Kestahn Moore. This include Kyle Jackson because I knew he was garbage so there was nothing to be frustrated about. Moore, however shows signs of a good running back at times, only to follow it with moments of utter horribleness. Moore's game against LSU last season may have been the worst game I've ever seen a Gator tailback play. Although Moore is serviceable, the Gators need to find another answer.

5. The Specialist.- Brandon James might just have more talent as a pure runner than anyone else on the team. The diminutive back provided spells last season for Moore and outperformed the starter. However, I think the Gators need to keep James as a return specialist and only use him in the offense for special situations. Perhaps Urban can develop a package with James as the premiere back and utilize his open field skills on set screens.

Picture of the day

The above is visual evidence that T.K. Wetherell is an adopted son of Satan. While doing research for a previous blog I came across this top secret photo of Mr. Wetherellsigning his soul over to the devil.

T.K. Wetherell is still alive??????

Yes he is!

Not only that, but the Florida State Athletic Director is actually making some sense these days.

While speaking at a National Football Forum, Wetherell stated that a playoff system in college football is inevitable. The only issue stopping playoffs now is the almighty dollar. As Wetherell put it, unfortunately "the money is going to drive the train on this one." You would think money wouldn't be a problem after the NCAA unleashed it's ingenious 12th game, which allows top-tier tams to participate in light training against J.V. squads.

Wetherell was opposed by a few swamp asses, whose main argument that a playoff system allows only one winner while bowl games allow 32 winners. That's great! When the hell did Division 1 football! become a baseball little league. Try to explain that to Dan Hawkins (and be prepared to be viciously bitch-slapped).

Why not just bypass bowls as well? We should just give every team that participates in every game this year a trophy. That way, no one's feelings gets hurt.

It's funny that the crotch-rots that are putting out this lame argument of only one winner include: Jim Tressel(who doesn't even win when there are 32 winners), Gary Patterson(average mid-major coach that would lose a lot of money from lost bowl appearances), Kevin White, Notre Dame Athletic Director(The man who hired Charlie Weis should have no say in any kind of matter.Ever.), and Kevin Anderson, Army Athletic Director(Army. Enough said.)

While I mostly disagree with just about everything T.K. Wetherell does, I agree with him on this issue. A playoff system in college football is inevitable. What's weird is that I don't know how I feel about this. While a playoff system would leave us with one true champion, bowl season is pretty much the second best time of the year(behind the start of the season). There is something about teams like Florida Atlantic, Troy and Central Michigan getting to do their thing in front of a national television audience.

For now though, T.K. Wetherell is still kicking and he's still an ass.

Way too early bowl predictions

I love to make predictions, and I'd like to think I'm pretty good at it. Like 10 years from now I predict I will still be more awesome than you, the Gators will be getting ready for their tenth straight national title and America will finally win the war in Iraq.

I am pretty sure I have a better chance of having all those predictions coming true compared to picking at least half of this year's bowl games correctly. Despite this fact, I am going to try anyway. Prepare to have your faces rocked off by the awesomeness of my predictions.

1.BCS Title Game- Florida v. Oklahoma; I know this is a homer pick, but it will come down between Florida and Georgia to represent the SEC in the title game. I'll take Florida to win that one as well as this game.

2. Fiesta Bowl- Texas v. BYU; BYU will be the mid-major darlings this year and will put up a better fight than Hawaii did last year. However, the Longhorns will prevail.

3.Sugar Bowl- Georgia v. Illinois; Both teams return to BCS games and Georgia wins their second straight Sugar Bowl.

4.Rose Bowl- Ohio St. v. USC- A rematch of the regular season match-up will result in another USC victory.

5. Orange Bowl- Clemson v. West Virginia; Tommy Bowden finally gets the results that are expected from this Clemson team and they beat West Virginia narrowly.

6. Capital One Bowl- Wisconsin v. LSU- The defending national champs fall to a tough Big Ten team.

7. Outback Bowl- Michigan St. v. Auburn- Auburn takes down the Spartans behind Kodi Burns.

8. Cotton Bowl- Missouri v. Alabama; Chase Daniel and the Tigers prove to be too much for the Fighting Nick Sabans.

9. Gator Bowl- Wake Forest v. Cincinnati- Two of the up-and-coming teams in the nation. The Bearcats take this one.

10.Sun Bowl- Oregon St. v. Texas A&M; Oregon St. ruins Mike Sherman's first bowl game.

11.Holiday Bowl- Arizona St. v. Texas Tech; This would be a pretty exciting game to watch. I'll take Tech to win a wild one.

12. Chick-Fil-A Bowl- Virginia Tech v. South Carolina; Steve Spurrier returns to a bowl game and upsets the Hokies.

13.Liberty Bowl- Central Florida v. Tennessee; UCF makes it's second straight appearance in Memphis and this team walk away with a win.

14.Alamo Bowl- Kansas v. Purdue; Kansas slips a little bit this season but still walks away with a bowl win.

15.Insight Bowl- Colorado v. Indiana; This bowl has become one of the most exciting to watch year in and year out. This year will be another exciting contest as the Buffs take down the Hoosiers in a thrilling game.

16.Music City Bowl- Miami(FL) V. Mississippi St.; The canes make it back to a bowl game and come away with a lopsided win.

17.Independence Bowl- Oklahoma St. v. Arkansas; Bobby Petrino is sleazy, but he takes a break from sucking at life to lead the Hogs to a victory over OK ST.

18.Champs Sports Bowl- North Carolina St. v. Penn St; Tom O'Brien will have the Wolfpack back in a bowl game this season, and they will beat the JoPa's.

19.Meineke Car Care Bowl- North Carolina v. South Florida; Butch Davis is back in a bowl game, but UNC falls to Matt Grothe and the Bulls.

20.Papajohns.com Bowl- Rutgers v. Kentucky; How is this game not played at Papa Johns Cardinal Stadium? Rutgers wins.

21.Texas Bowl- Nebraska v. Tusla; Bo Pelini gets a bowl win in his first season.

22.Humanitarian Bowl- Virginia v. Boise St.; The Broncos will enjoy a ridiculous home field advantage, and they will win this tougher than expected game.

23.Emerald Bowl- Maryland v. UCLA; Two teams heading into the season without a clear starter at QB. I'll take Maryland with Josh Portis at QB to win this one.

24.Las Vegas Bowl- Utah v. California; California has a more respectable season from last year's meltdown. They win a close one in sin city.

25. Hawaii Bowl- Fresno St. v. Arizona; The Bulldogs take care of Arizona. Now Mike Stoops will know exactly how his brother feels every year.

26.GMAC Bowl- East Carolina v. Nevada; Skip Holtz enters the off-season as the hottest up and coming coach after beating the Wolfpack.

27.St. Petersburg Bowl- Pittsburgh v. Houston; Dave Wannstedt finally gets Pitt back to a bowl game and they win the inaugural St. Pete Bowl.

28.Armed Forces Bowl- Memphis v. Air Force; Memphis will surprise a few people this year, including Air Force in this game.

29.Congressional Bowl- Navy v. Georgia Tech; Paul Johnson leads his new team against his old one, and the old one wins.

30.International Bowl- Louisville v. Ball St.; A battle between two teams with almost the exact same uniforms. Ball St. gets the upset behind underrated QB Nate Davis.

31.Motor City Bowl- Michigan v. Central Michigan; the battle for Michigan in Michigan. Central Michigan pulls off the upset.

32.New Orleans Bowl- Louisiana-Monroe v. Southern Mississippi; ULM finally unseats Troy from the Sun Belt throne, but they lose to Larry Fedora's Southern Miss squad.

33.Poinsettia Bowl- Washington v. Buffalo; The battle between two of my favorite coaches in Tyrone Willingham and Turner Gill. Ty Willingham wins this round.

34.New Mexico Bowl- Louisiana Tech v. Florida Atlantic; One of the worst bowl games ever, but FAU represents for the Sunshine State.

Ramblings from Urban the Great

Urban Meyer recently spoke to the Capital Gator Club in Tallahassee. Thanks to the Orlando Sentinel, we have some of Mr. Meyer's talking points.

**Percy Harvin is off crutches and is wearing a boot to protect the heel that underwent surgery earlier in the spring. Meyer said Harvin is lifting weights three days per week but is not yet ready to start running. He remains on schedule to be ready in time for two-a-days.

**Other injury items -- Backup QB John Brantley's broken hand continues to heal and needs at least another week before he can rejoin his teammates in full conditioning. G Maurice Hurt has received medical clearance to play after dealing with severe stingers in his neck and shoulders over the last year. LB Brendan Beal's surgically-repaired shoulder is improving, as is LB A.J. Jones' injured wrist.

**DT Torrey Davis, who missed a chunk of spring practice to receive extra academic help, needs to pass two classes this summer to be eligible in the fall. Meyer said he expected Davis to do so, and that the rest of his roster looks fine to be eligible.

**DT Omar Hunter, LB T.J. Pridemore and OL Sam Robey enrolled to start Summer A on Monday, Meyer said. Pridemore could have shown up in January, but UF's scholarship numbers left the team without room. Pridemore, Hunter's high school teammate, will play both offense and defense during August's two-a-days. Robey, meanwhile, is paying his own way through the first summer session and participating in early workouts.

**Meyer gave the audience an audio tour of the new football facility set to open in mid-July. The centerpiece of the ground floor lobby will be a 16-foot bronze Gator, he said, which will include some sort of tribute to the 2006 national championship team. The lobby will also feature black granite bricks with the name of every first-team All-American. Fans can then walk up a large staircase and find three sections at the top -- the two crystal ball national championship trophies, a case with all the national individual awards Gators have on, and a case with all the Southeastern Conference championship trophies. "I promise you you'll be taken aback," Meyer said. "It's unbelievable. It's spectacular."

**Meyer again spoke about his mid-February, Nike-sponsored trip to Mexico, which he credits for reinvigorating his coaching career. He said he stayed positive from the bowl game until Signing Day, but that the time between the end of recruiting and the trip ranked among the longest of his career. "The human element took me over, and I was awful at my job," Meyer said. "Two weeks after recruiting was done, and I had to swallow what happened in the Capital One Bowl in the fourth quarter. I was a mess."

**Save Davis, academics are strong all the way around. The Gators posted a 2.86 grade point average for the spring, highest in program history, according to UF's sports information department. Meyer said G Jim Tartt and TE Cornelius Ingram, players who didn't believe they could finish school when the coach arrived, each sit two classes from graduation.

**To wrap up his speech, Meyer reflected on coaching Heisman Trophy-winning QB Tim Tebow, whom Meyer has called one of the great players of this era. "Every morning, I say thanks for giving me the opportunity to coach that kid," he said. "Don't ask me when you're going to get another Tebow. I've been doing this 25 years, and I don't know that. I can't answer that question."

Perhaps the most important of these issues is Percy Harvin's injury. I'm glad to see everything is healing as it should be.

People you want to punch in the face

Fans of college football are the most passionate and spirited fans of any sport. They are only rivaled by Europeans and soccer. But since no one in the best country ever cares dick for soccer, college football fans win.

Just like everything else, being passionate and spirited for your team has it's drawbacks. A lot of fan bases take their passion too far and become obnoxious fans. Some fans even pass this phase and move into the realm of fans that you wouldn't stop to piss on if they were on fire and you just drank a gallon of Gatorade obnoxiousness.

It's rather easy to spot the obnoxious fans. They're usually separated from the crowd because even fans of the same team don't want to be around these cock holes. Don't ever try to argue with one of these people because you will never win. Your statement will always be rebutted with a "Yeah but....." type of response.

Also, these fans are very quick to start a fight even for the smallest things. I once had an Iowa fan try to goad me into a fight because I told him Kinnick Stadium was only named so because Nile Kinnick was a war hero after his playing days. These jackass of a fan turned this mild compliment into a call to arms. He tried to heckle me the whole game, while totally ignoring the fact that the Gators were ruining the Hawkeyes shit on the field.

I feel like I need to give you a list of these wad puddles in order to better your chances of escaping an encounter with one.

Ohio St.

Buckeye fans are easily the most obnoxious college football fans in America. They walk around all season long like their shit doesn't stink until their asses get handed to them in the NC. Of course this thrashing is immediately followed with the "Hey at least we got to the title game" remark, That's great and all but since you lost the title game you're in the same position as all the other losers out there. But you don't hear those fans exclaiming how great they are and they're still the best team in the nation. It's like if you're a Bills fan, wouldn't you rather trade in 4 title game appearances for just one with a win? The more obnoxious OSU fans will be walking around all day spelling out O-H-I-O! Expressing their ability to spell a four letter word to anyone within ear shot. I think Ole Miss fans need to jump on this wagon. How cool would it be to hear fans walking around yelling "M-I-Crooked letter-Crooked letter-I-Crooked letter-Crooked letter-I-Humpback-Humpback-I!" That chant would defecate all over any other chant known to man.

Notre Dame

Obnoxious Notre Dame fans walk around like they own the world. I can't really say that I blame them because networks execs and ESPN analysts blow their collective loads whenever Notre Dame football is mentioned in the same sentence. The truth is Notre Dame football is no longer relevant. Their team is garbage and I really don't think they are going to turn it around soon. Most Notre Dame fans don't bother me because they're smart enough to keep their mouths shut when fans of real college football teams are talking. However, there are those annoying Irish fans that walk around praising Charlie Weis for being the greatest man ever to put on a pair of size 62 jeans and walk onto the field. Weis is overrated and the Irish are no longer deserving of their own network.

SEC

For the life of me I will never be able to understand how someone can root for an entire conference. It just makes no sense to me. Don't get me wrong, I love SEC football, bit I do not root for any of it's members blindly just because they have a SEC patch on their shoulders. I am a fan and graduate of the University of Florida not the SEC. The fans that always chant SEC at the end of bowl games kind of make me sick. I hate hearing Florida fans saying, "Well the Gators didn't make it, so I'm gonna root for LSU and Georgia to win their BCS games because they represent the SEC."Wrong. I hate Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and LSU. I will NEVER actively root for any of these teams unless it is a situation that can benefit the Gators. SEC fans, and not individual team fans, need to pick a team and stick to it.

I was going to make this list a little bit longer but I'm getting so pissed off I can't see the screen clearly. So I'm just going to rattle off a few other institutions that should have their fans rounded up and neutered.

Georgia, Tennessee, Florida St., USC, Oklahoma, Iowa, Michigan, and even my Florida brethren.
